I went to sunny st geezy for spring break this year and got to do a ton!
This is a rather long post, but maybe it will make up a bit for not posting anything for so long.
I had beautiful weather, the first day was by far the coldest- hence the ice on the puddle.
This is looking east at sunrise in Toquerville.

Looking more north toward pine valley, but from the same location as above.

I had the opportunity of going through Bloomington caves with a friend from work.
The view from out by the caves.

In the cave there were some interesting formations. Here you can see stalagtites and vertical spines called "bacon."

A quick look at the conditions- notice the dark abyss to the right that we scrambled up from, then we had to go straight in behind me. There were a couple times during the experience that i couldn't stop myself from quietly wispering, "my precious..."

Not many things tend to sketch me out, but this location which is south of Hurricane (you can see molly's nipple if you look close) proved to me that campouts with the right amount of coyote howls and squeels from dying rabbits can do odd things to you. The view in the morning made it more than worth it!

Little Creek mesa (south of gooseberry) has much to offer- especially after a rain storm.

I even discovered where pacman has been hiding since the 80's...
Although the Mrs. was nowhere to be found.

Carlos and i checked out some amazing indian ruins. Flint knappins and pottery shards were literally everywhere you looked. Thanks for the good times and a taste of the Baja 500 Carlos.

Edge of the world on Little Creek mesa. You can see Sand Hollow in the back ground.

You're ma boy Blue!!!!!

Red, white and blue on the prospector trail.

The beauty of the desert never seems to get old... Prospector trail.

Too bad Logan doesn't look like this.

Zach, his bro in law mike, and i threw in some gear, drove into the middle of nowhere, started hiking, and loved every minute of it. This was taken just after we started hiking.
No plan, no pressure, no problem!

We found the flattest spot we could and made camp in a small saddle somewhere in the mountains north of the virgin river gorge. We also discovered that joshua trees can be burnt more than once.

The next morning was amazing! We watched the sun slowly rise above the horizon and splash it's sunshine closer and closer towards us. This is the saddle we camped in.

A piece of the view.

After an amazing breakfast, we picked the highest thing in our sights and decided to climb it.
This is along the way.

Roughly 2500 vertical feet later, we soaked in the fruit of our labor. We could see all the way from Vegas to Zion- ironic...

It was a blast and we'll definitely have to do it again.
